The brief
At Kicks USA I was asked to create everything for a Women's History Month speaker panel, where local women talked about their passions, careers and how they got there. The event was two weeks out, so it all had to happen fast: a flyer, drink menu, Instagram Stories overlays, a Snapchat and Instagram filter, an RSVP page in the app, and social versions of the flyer.
The challenge
Tight deadline, lots of pieces. I started with one strong headline for "Women's HERstory Month" and built everything else from it.
Process
My first mock-up laid out the flyer, but the short "WHM" headline felt too plain, so I redrew it with the full name. The team chose the sans serif version of the two I presented.

With the headline and colors locked, I animated it, since motion was part of the final rollout.

Then I brought the flowers from my first draft into the new headline.

Finally the flyer: the team liked the original layout, so I dropped in the new headline and rebuilt the background. They loved it.

Social media & app
After the flyer and menu came the RSVP page, animated flyers for the feed and Stories, overlays for each speaker, and a Snapchat filter for the day.
